State Rep. Matt Dolan plans to resign, effective Thursday, so that he can focus on running for the newly created Cuyahoga County Executive position.
He plans to submit his resignation letter after the Ohio House of Representatives session is concluded today.
Dolan has represented the 98th District of the Ohio House of Representatives since election in 2004. The district includes all of Geauga County, plus all Gates Mills, Highland Heights and Mayfield Village and portions of Mayfield Heights.
Dolan also has moved from his home in Russell Township to Chagrin Falls Village with his son Sam.
